Visa-free stay; 2026 right-to-work rules and exemptions
Georgia has no dedicated digital-nomad visa. The amended 2026 labour-migration rules include an exemption for services benefiting a non-resident and connected to business outside Georgia, while other foreign workers and self-employed people remain within the authorisation system.
- Do not treat the one-year entry allowance as blanket work permission
- Document that the employer or client is non-resident and the business is outside Georgia
- Confirm whether the July 2026 foreign-client exemption covers the activity
- Obtain right-to-work and residence approval if no exemption applies
- Track Georgian workdays and review continuing Australian tax residence
