Korean tax residence commonly arises at 183 days or where a domicile is established. Korean-source work can require earlier review. Australian citizens generally continue filing on worldwide income; the foreign earned income exclusion or foreign tax credit may help only when their separate conditions are met and the required Australian return is filed. Australia taxes individuals primarily by tax residence, not citizenship: an Australian tax resident generally declares worldwide income, while a person who ceases residence needs a departure and capital-gains review.
